Downgrade MT4 To Backtest 99,9% Modelling Quality

Note : you can find the list of MT4 older versions here

Sep 1 : Change the current version to an older version

(This is a tutorial on downgrading MT4 to version 1356. For other versions, do the same)

Download and extract file zip "MT4 Older 136 from this list " then go to folder: MT4 Older\Build 1356 and copy file "terminal.exe"

Go to the MT4 installation folder

Paste file "terminal.exe" here

Note : Before you copy and paste. Backup the old file "terminal.exe"

You should DOWNGRADE your MT4 to the older version

Step 2 : Stop Auto Update

Go to folder : MT4 Older\Build 1356 and copy file "webinstall"

Go to C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes (Admin is the name of your computer user)

Paste file "webinstall" here

Note : Before you copy and paste. Backup the old folder "webinstall"

Note : After finished 2 steps above then you open MT4 for working. Keep MT4 working 24/7 and never close it. Because if you close it, when you open again, the MT4 will automatically update to newest version.

wrong version (tickstory)

If you open MT4 from Tickstory for backtest, you get an error similar to this picture. This is a bug related to the current version of MT4 that is not compatible with Tickstory. What you need to do now is very simple >> Downgrade your MT4 version as 2 above steps.
